Minnesota artist Joe Ewest says this about his work:

Drawn to nature, inspired by water, light and reflection, my work is rooted in abstraction from nature. I strive to visually capture the feeling of a place and a moment. I am continually driven through ongoing process to achieve a "spark" that is a catalyst to evolution, learning and to challenge myself. Growth from life experiences feed the future. Color, texture and form are all interpreted and expressed in the moment. Striving for spontaneity, presence and clarity drives me to create, push and explore.

Art Angel about Town: Leslie had the opportunity to go to Europe last month. She saw so much amazing art and architecture. Here she shares ceiling frescos from the Parliament Building in Budapest, the Schonbrunn Palace in Vienna and the Gottweig Abbey outside of Krems, Austria.
